The properties of explosively formed plasma jets were investigated to assess their utility as antennas. These results were used to design a multi-jet plasma antenna. A plasma antenna with four jets has been designed, built, and tested and it was demonstrated that this antenna can achieve more than 6-7 dB of gain at a frequency of 700 MHz.
