Helical Slowing Down Structures for MILO

Abstract

A helical slowing down structures: spiral corrugated anode and spiral corrugated cathode are investigated in this article. It is shown, that non-symmetrical mode of oscillation, that exists in the spiral corrugated coaxial transmission line, is equal to the H11 - harmonic of the cylindrical waveguide with maximum of the polar pattern on axis of the structure. Just this mode one must use for power output from the MILO.
